About

I'm Bryan Vossen, a hobbyist nature photographer based in Denver, Colorado. For the past eight years I've carried my camera into different corners of God's creation. I have a special love for the night sky, so whenever I can, I bring the two together.

For me, photography is a form of worship. It makes me slow down, pay attention, and take in the art God has made, and I come away with a deeper appreciation for the natural world every time.

Most of my work comes from Colorado, but I travel to new places whenever I get the chance.

A note on the night photos

Some of my astrophotography is a time composite: I photograph the landscape at dusk, while there's still light to show its detail, then photograph the stars from the same spot once it's fully dark. The land and sky always come from the same night and nearly the same angle. Blending them lets me capture as much detail as possible in both while staying faithful to the scene as it was.
